Specter offers two ways to use the API, and usage on both is metered in credits. Pick the plan that fits how you want to work, then see what each call costs below.

Plans

Which plan you need comes down to whether you just want to enrich records you already have, or you want full access to the databases, signals, and workflow features.

Enrichment API

Enrichment for teams who don’t need the full Specter platform or universal search. You send a list of companies or people — from your CRM or dealflow — and get Specter’s data back on them. What you get:
Example. A growth team has 2,000 leads in their CRM. They send the domains and person identifiers to the Enrichment API and get back funding rounds, headcount growth, and key executive profiles appended to each record.

Full API

Programmatic access to Specter’s full data and workflow features. What you get:
  • The complete Company and People databases, plus the proprietary Talent Signals and Interest Signals feeds.
  • Workflow automation: create and save searches and lists, pull all their results programmatically, and subscribe to new results as they appear.
  • Featured endpoints like Get person’s email and Get similar companies, with more added over time.
The Full API needs at least one seat on the Specter web app. That seat is what lets you build and manage searches and lists in the interface, then pull all their results through the API.
Example. A fund tracks AI startups in Europe that are raising, watches talent move from Google into these companies, and pulls founder email contacts. With the Full API, they save those searches, subscribe to updates, and join company, people, and signal data into their internal dealflow pipeline.
