What it does
Returns the full Specter investor record for a single Specter investor ID, including (profile, activity, targeting, funds, portfolio companies). Why you’d use it
Enrich or refresh a known investor in your system (for scoring, diligence, or CRM/warehouse sync) by referencing its ID.
Pull the list of portfolio company IDs to drive a downstream call to
/companies/{companyId}.
Inspect targeting (industries, verticals, stages) when prioritising outreach.
Key behaviours
Path param: investorId (Specter investor ID, inv_...) is required.
Response: a single investor object with the latest data available.
person_id is populated when the investor is an individual (e.g. an
angel); company_id is populated when the investor has an associated
company in Specter (e.g. the firm behind a fund). Either, both, or
neither may be null.
Returns 404 Not Found if the investor does not exist.
This endpoint uses 1 credit per request.
