<Update label="2026-10-06" tags={["Saved searches"]}>
  ### Removed: `signal_mode='new'` on `get_saved_search_items`

  `signal_mode='new'` applied a fixed time window: the current month for company searches, the current week for talent-signal and interest-signal searches. The value is no longer accepted. A call that sends it fails with the same "not valid for this search" error as any other unsupported `signal_mode`.

  To select results by time, pass a cutoff:

  * `new_results_after` returns the results added after the given timestamp.
  * `since_last_viewed` returns the results added since the saved search was last opened.

  `signal_mode='new_talent_signals'` on a people search is unaffected.

  **What to do:** replace `signal_mode='new'` with `new_results_after` or `since_last_viewed`.
